Court Visit

I attended a court session at Troy City Court docket, which is the 3rd Judicial Area of NYC State Legal courts. The public defender attorney present at court was Christopher T. Maier. I had the opportunity to go in in front of everyone else and sit up in the jury stands where I had been able to evidently see and hear everything that was going on after the court session began. My spouse and i went to court docket on Tuesday, September third, the day after Labor Day, which meant that court was sealed the previous time. Due to the seal, there were an unusually large number of sixty-five cases this kind of Tuesday morning hours. In the courtroom room, there where a lot of court officials placed at different places around the court docket room. These were constantly reminding everyone to choose their cell phones off. This task seemed fairly difficult for a few people to comprehend since they was required to keep telling people too many times to put their particular phones apart. Before the courtroom started, there were so many people to arrive and from the offices in either side of the courtroom room arranging and offering papers to the attorneys; along with and preparing files intended for the evaluate. Once the courtroom started, the cases were introduced by stating the name of the offenders and who we were holding going up against. Some cases handled inmates which were brought in by the officers. The cases consisted of people of all age groups, race, racial and male or female. The specific circumstance that was out the most to my opinion was the case of a guy who was recharged with stalking a woman, unfortunately he also imprisoned over the weekend following being involved with a brawl. He was introduced with a guy who, from what I may tell, was some sort of officer that was in charge of his case. Even though the judge was reading his offenses, the offender stored interrupting expressing how almost everything was a sit and the girl who was accusing him of stalking was not telling the truth.
